Flea Song

"Mommy, why do they play the flea song at Christmas? Why is it a Christmas song?" This was asked by my 7 yr old... Ashton.

"Flea song?" What do you mean, the Flea Song"

You know... the flea song... 'Fleas got my dog... Fleas got my dog...' " she's horribly out of tune, but I recognize the melody...

"You mean.. "Feliz Navidad?"

She's funny.

My sister used to ask my about that song from Dirty Dancing called "Hungry Owls".

I thought it sounded much better than the real title of "Hungry Eyes". I told her I didn't know anything about the hungry owls, but that I was sure they ate bad little girls.

Norm - "Fleas got my dog" - OMG that was freaking hilarious. Still laughing and it's been 10 minutes now. Funny story...I used to think the song "Zapo Verde" actually existed...turned out it was my family's attempt to sing "Happy birthday" with a spanish accent. So for years I was like, "Ok, let's sing the green frog song!" memories...you always bring them up for me!
