First-time poster, followed the link from Wide Lawns...
Yes, you are absolutely correct, every young boy MUST have Thomas the Tank Engine!
My son is 3, and I swear we have 80% of the currently available engines, although we have learned to shop online for tracks and buildings, etc., that are compatible but cost about 1/3 of what the official Thomas brand items do.
Also in the ether at about 15 - 18 months are The Wiggles. -I say "in the ether" because my son knew who they (Thomas and The Wiggles) were at 15 months, when I either had heard of them but never seen them, or hadn't even heard of them, yet. But he knew!
