FINALLY! (a post in which I stick a bunch of pictures)

Well, a little over month later, my computer has finally been unpacked. WOOHOO!! That means that I now have access to my photo drive. So - I know it's a month later -- but here's a picture of MY HOUSE!! IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET! (love that song...)

And here's the backyard. It's a regular forest out there:

And here's part of the downstairs (I don't have the entire house photo'd yet , but this is before we moved in....and my sister on the steps). Oh - by the way - Avery fell down the stairs last night and busted her lip open. :(

We love our house. Not so much the "pet" that came with the house. It's name is Fred. Here it is:

Icky, huh? And it's really really big. Here it is from far away :

I took the second picture. My man took the close up of it -- but I think he used the zoom lens.

OK. That's it for now! We're going to the zoo today!

peace out dudes!

Beautiful home, Norman. And keep Fred around. From his size I don't think you will ever have to worry about insects or burglars getting into you home. Have fun at the zoo, and wave at any apes you see because they may be one of my kin. I’m just saying…

Oh!! I love love love the backyard....

That's a neat spider. She'll do her part to lower the critter quotient around the house, so don't think too badly of her.

    :o)

Coffeypot - thanks man! I just leave ol' Fred alone. We have an agreement. We didn't see any apes today. apparently - they were smarter than us and didn't venture out into the heat.

Charlotte - We love the backyard too!! We actually have 5 cedar trees and we have 6 people telling us to get rid of them because they attract ticks, and 6 people telling us to keep them. We're confused...

Nancy - You know what? I think you and my husband must be one and the same. He got mad at me because I named the spider Fred. He said Fred is actually Fredwina because only GIRL spiders make webs. hmph. See? Girls are more productive. Especially since Fredwina has a big ol' sac of eggs in her web right now.

What you have there is a writing spider. http://www.cs.utk.edu/~plank/plank/pics/spider.html

A very nice museum curator in Wilson, North Carolina told us that if you see your name written on a writing spider's web, that means you're going to die. Nice, huh? Just don't look too close at Fred's web, okay?

Stairs + little ones=busted lips. My Darby looked like the poster child for abused children after he learned to walk--our bedrooms were on the second floor, naturally.

I so need to move to Texas and get a decent deal on a house like that. It looks AWESOME!!

Got an extra room for me until I find my own place? And the cats, too?

You are going to kill me for this but...did the ghost come with? And I was also wondering, way back when forever ago the ghost stole your coffee. Did you find it when you packed up to move? I have been dying to know this for some reason. I must be bored with my life or something if I'm wondering about some total stranger's two year old missing coffee.

New house is very pretty. Love the backyard. Love the front porch too!
