Forbidden Fruit
I'M ALIVE!! I'm still alive!! I made it thru the night!! yahoooo!!!

But on the other hand, the hubby called me today and said he has to stay in Ft. Worth until Friday, so I'm stuck here again, waiting for the ghost to appear. Yippee Ki Yay.

As revenge, I am doing something I have been *FORBIDDEN* to do. (Heh. Freak Magnet & Stewie know where this is going!!)

I'm watching Brokeback Mountain. I'M BEING BAAAAAD!!!

You see, my husband has decided that while he doesn't "mind" the gay person's lifestyle, he certainly doesn't want to pay money to advocate it. (?????!!!!) Yeah, I don't get it either, but a while back, he declared that movie OFF LIMITS, and FORBADE me to watch it. I humored him. I mean - c'mon. He's gotta have a pair of pants to wear around here every now and then. And it's not like I was absolutely DYING to see the movie anyway, even if it does have Heath Ledger in it. So I let him tell me that.

But now he's not here, and I'm WATCHING IT!! SO HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and just BTW - that frickin' possum left a turd in my garage. I'm leaving that for the hubs to pick up as well. I ain't touchin' it.

Norm!!!!

Brokeback was a good movie. I, too, watched it by myself. The hubbs refused.

We've been forbidden to see it too...my sister Tiffie and I keep going for it but never rent it, let us know how it is!

You were all forbidden to watch the film?!?

I can just imagine what would happen if I said to my wife... "No way sweet pea are you watching that film"

In a very lady like manner should would probably reply "bollocks" and watch it twice to teach me a lesson....

Am I under the thumb? I like to think not, but I'm damn sure am skilfully manipulated by her.

Tammy - It WAS good!! It was different than I expected it to be though. And your husband was refusing to see it too? What IS it with these Texas men?

Vety - Hey!! Aren't you guys in Houston? I swear to God. It's Texas Men and their beloved idea of the cowboy....

AFC - ahhhh.... don't forget - I said "I humored him". HAHAHHAAA!! It's one of those sneaky things us southern women do that make our men think they're in charge. But the only funny thing is my husband generally NEVER EVER EVER tells me what to do. I thought this whole Brokeback edict was hilarious because it was like he thought he was going to have to fight me about it, and I didn't. However, I will tell him that I thought it was an EXCELLENT movie, and he should really watch it.

You're so right about Southern Women. You see, she's from Surrey ann I'm from Derbyshire. So she's about 200 miles futher south than me (which is quite a long way in England).

I can see the way her mum manipulates her dad so he believes he's charge. I also see the way her sister works her husband so I can only assume the same is happening to me but I just can't see it.

Perhaps I should start my own blog...'Adam the Manipulted' The story of a blog who thinks he's in charge....

What is up with (some) straight guys and their boy on boy homophobia? I've met lots of men like that and most of them then add "But I don't have a problem with lesbians".....um....I bet ya don't buddy.....but you're still not invited to the party.;)

A love story is a love story in my book.

I didn't forbid my wife to see it, but she--like me--doesn't seem to have an interest in seeing fudgepacking cowboys. Go figure.

Mish - Hi! Nope, I'll stick with Heath. I think Jake is cute, but to me, Heath is my lil' slice of hotness!
